You need to maintain and clean your gardening tools to protect them from wear and tear. You want your garden to last for years and you want your gardening tools to do the same. Follow these tips to improve the lifespan of your tools.

Apply a coat of linseed oil to gardening tools with wooden handles. This will prevent cracking. Simply dip a cloth into the oil and rub the handle as needed.

Gardeners know that clippers are important gardening tools. Unfortunately, clippers rust in moist garages or if left outside. To remove the rust simply makes a paste of lemon juice and tartar and rub the paste over the clippers. The rust will disappear because of the citric acid.
